Alpha Gamma Delta's BACKYΑΓΔ BBQ was a great success!  Through selling burgers, chicken, sausage, baked goods, and raffle baskets at the football game this past Saturday, September 20th 2014, the sisters raised over $1,000 for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.  The sisters would like to thank everyone that was a part of our philanthropy event to help us contribute to Diabetes Research.

This year Alpha Gamma Delta Alpha Epsilon Chapter at Westminster College has raised money for multiple organizations.  Earlier this semester we raised over $300 dollars in one week for the Upsilon Chapter at the University of Oklahoma whose house had caught fire.  All of this was profit directly given to the sisters at OU from our hot chocolate bar which we sold for $1 a cup in the Titan Union Building on campus during lunch.  Throughout the 2013-1014 academic year we have raised over $3,000 for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation through our philanthropy events The Newlywed Game for homecoming candidates fall semester and The Singing Bee Spring semester.  Alpha Epsilon chapter is excited for what next year may bring with philanthropic opportunities.

New semester, Homecoming, Newlywed Game....MORE FUN!

As we come into this new semester, we come back to familiar faces. Friends, dorm mates, professors, but most importantly sisters. After a summer apart from each other, it's always a great feeling to come back to school and see your sisters.

Working our way through the first few weeks of classes, Homecoming creeps up on us. This year's campus theme is Mother Goose meets Mother Fair, and our theme from that is The Little Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe. Alpha Gamma Delta's Homecoming 2013 candidate is junior Emily Puruczky.

Of course Homecoming is always stressful, between coming up with a theme and trying to organize people to get a float up, we have to make sure people on campus know to vote for Emily and Nick Hainsey of Alpha Sigma Phi (our fraternity partner for this year's Homecoming).

Our first philanthropy event of the year occurs during Homecoming week as well. Each year Alpha Gamma Delta hosts The Newlywed Game, where students are able to get to know their Homecoming candidates a little better. Lasting four rounds, each pair of sororities and fraternities and one independent pair answer questions about the each of the partners.

2013 Greek Week Winners

The sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta are proud to claim their 15th Greek Week win at Westminster College. This year the girls not only dominated in many events such as volleyball, basketball, track, pie eating contest, greek feud, and more, but they also helped raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and collected goods for many local charities.  While participating in events all week and raising money, the sisters also practiced for the Sing n' Swing Preformance following Greek Week. The sisters rocked out to Now 21, and had a great week bonding and making many memories for 2013 Greek Week.
